Carnitine

Metabolic disorders occur when the body is unable to process fats known as lipids, proteins, sugars or nucleic acid properly. This occurs when the bodies genetic mutations result in missing or dysfunctional enzymes thus making cells difficult to perform metabolic process. When an enzyme is dysfunctional it is unable to breakdown fatty substances in the body. The excess buildup of fat that surrounds the brain will cause brain damage. This is because the carnitines are responsible for the removal of accumulated toxic fatty acyl-CoA metabolytes and energy production through fatty metabolism, but are unable to do so because of the dysfunctional ganglioside enzyme .

Lysosomal storage disorders occur when lipids, polysaccharides and proteins accumulate in the lysosomes because the body is genetically unable to create hydrolases within the lysosomes. When hydrolases does not occur within the lysosomes then lipids, polysaccharides and proteins are unable to be broken down and removed from the body. A ganglioside is a type of lipid found in the brain, nervous system and red blood cells. The buildup of lipids and other protiens or fats can lead to cardiomyopathy and muscle weakness in the heart. During birth and infancy it can cause defects such as retardation. Mroe progressive symptoms of lysosomal storage disorders can cause deafness, blindness, atrophy, paralysis, dementia and seisures, including becoming unable to swallow. Although most of these disorders occur in people as infants, Tay-Sachs Disease can onset as an adult.

L-Carnitine is an amino acid that is involved in the fat metabolism of the body. L-Carnitine is the transporter of fatty acids to the mitochondria and burned as fuel. It essentially turns fat into energy. L-Carnitine can be found in foods as well as supplements. L-Carnitine by injection or liquid supplement directly into the bloodstream or brain tissue may significantly reduce such symptomatic attributes of lysosomal storage disorder. It can also help lower elevated CPK levels and reduce arrhythmias.

In analyzing vitamins and supplements one may find that each one has a correlation to characters or instances in the Bible. If L-Carnitine had a biblical name, what would it be? This supplement does a pretty good job!

Auscultation

Auscultation is derived from the Latin verb auscultare that means to listen. The act of auscultation is when one listens to the internal sounds of the body via stethoscope. The most common sounds that are listened to are the heart, breathing or lungs and gastrointestinal or bowel sounds. Auscultation is necessary to determine if a patient or person has an abnormal heart beat and if their breathing is normal. Conditions regarding this could include heart murmurs and or wheezing.

Problem

Patients depend on trained or certified medical professionals to be our eyes and ears for us regarding our bodies and the signs and or symptoms regarding them. People are prone to error, absenteeism of school, old age, wear and tear of loud voices and headphones. This means that when you go to a physicians office or clinic the internal sounds of your heart or lungs may not be noticed at least in time or misdiagnosed. There are four heart sounds that need to be distinguished from each other in order to give a person certainty that their heart is beating normally. Sound 1 or S1 is the "lub" sound that comes from the closing of the atrioventricular valves which are the tricuspid and mitral (bicuspid), which prevents reverse blood flow.
Sound 2 or S2 is the "dub" sound that comes from the closing of the semilunar valves which are the aortic and pulmanary valves to prevent reverse blood flow. Sound 3 or S3 is referred to as a gallop(protodiastolic or ventricular) which is a "sloshing" sound. This may occur because the ventricles are filling up with blood very rapidly. Sound 4 or S4 is referrred to as the presystolic or atrial gallop sound. This occurs when blood is pushed into the hypertrophic ventricle. Murmurs or heart murmurs occur between the sounds of the heart 1 through 4. Some common heart murmors are as follows: aortic stenosis, aortic regurgitation, mitral stenosis mitral regurgitation, mitral valve prolapse, ventricular septal defect, hypertrophic cardio myopathy, systolic ejection sound and diastolic gallop rhythms.

Virgin ears often times do not last forever and given that time frame to work with in between people may need assistance to help them in audible instances as this may affect their work or livelihood especially those who use stethoscopes as part of their job in order to earn a living.

Solution

There needs to be a stethoscope made that no longer requires one to have such ears of virgin in that the stethoscope is simply designed so that you do not have to use them by way of headphones or earpiece. The newly designed electronic stethoscope should not require a headphone or earpiece. They can be purchased as an entire unit which includes the earpiece or be purchased without. The unique feature of the electronic stethoscope is that it contains a powerful speaker that will allow the audio to be heard actually from the stethoscope itself. With the help of auscultation software, medical workers can now check the heart of patients without having the ears of a metronome to do so. With infrared technology the stethoscope will send the audio sounds of the patients heart via wireless auscultation hub, the auscultation hub will then transmit those sounds to the auscultation software. The results can then be stored for each patient and a copy or acceptable format can be integrated into any EMR system. A medical assistant would use the electronic stethescope by putting it to a patients chest or back and select bell or diaphragm of the stethoscope to listen to the patents heart. By using the audio speaker on the stethoscope the medical worker can hear in clarity the sound of the heart. Or the worker can simply use the computer and the auscultation software to access the final results.

With the use of the electronic stethoscope with audio speaker it can be used as a stand alone stethoscope or with the infrared wifi hub and software. This means that any medical worker can use it and will not require the advanced training necessary. A doctors office can be very busy. Once you have the equipment and staff to assist with the basics of medicine things tend to flow much more smoothly and the physician can then spend time evaluating results with the patient and coordinating additional medical care if necessary. Get rid of those headphones. The electronic stethoscope with audio speaker is in a doc "get it- dock" by itself. Put your staff to work, and talk about a horse of another color once they begin to listen to those gallops by using the electronic stethoscope with audio speaker.

Cryotherapy

Problem

When it comes to disease there are many methods to rid the body of damaged tissue and abnormal cells. Surgery, medicine, home remedies, burdening other people and other forms of alternative treatments and procedures. Cryotherapy is a procedure or method in which very cold liquid is used to destroy abnormal tissue.

Liquid nitrogen at temperatures of -320 F or -196 C is used in cryotherapy or cryosurgery. This can be the preferred method because cryotherapy uses a small probe to spread the liquid nitrogen to the affected areas and therefore leaving good tissue unharmed.

When people think of good dental hygiene what do they really mean? Is it that their mouth smells minty fresh and that they visit the dentist at least twice a year? This just means that you have a halfway decent job to afford the necessity of benefits and that job also permits you to visit the store for snacks. Brushing your teeth once a day may seem like poor hygiene because you eat or drink more than you bush, floss or gargle. Although, in today's economy eating one and a half times a day is probably the norm so brushing just once a day saves on those products and all that you need to use them. If you're self-conscious about this, then talking a lot less will also be of great assistance. Save save, save is all we can do. When there's not much going in, well there certainly won't be much going out! Flossing and gargling are part of good mouth care, but seriously for those people who love to sleep having a clean pucker may require one to wake up a lot earlier that one wants to especially if you have a lot of work to do. Big meals, smiles and talk pollution all add up from the night before.

When people visit the dentist, x-rays of the mouth are taken. This is the first of many unplesant procedures in the dentists office. X-rays are uncomfortable because you have to have your mouth open so that the x-ray machine can gather images. The x-rays determine the health of the bone in your mouth and the gum line ect. Bone loss leads to surgery or graft to restore and regrow bone. But, what about the tissue inside the mouth or gums that surround the teeth. These are the areas that are subjected to abnormal growths, bacterias and cancers. What can people do about removing abormal or unhealthy tissue in the mouth on a periodic basis to avoid infections from bacteria or even cancer?

Solution

Liquid Nitrogen can be used in an applicator form to swab the gums evenly inside the mouth. The liquid nitrogen should stay on for about 20-30 seconds. The liquid nitrogen will thaw and leave a residue that can be brushed away with a sponge type of toothbrush to remove the outer layer of the gum along with bacteria. Once this is done your mouth will be rid of hard to remove bacteria and prevent infections or illness associated with unhealthy gums. The last part of the dentist visit is the cost. Sometimes dentists will do more on a visit provided they have the time to do so. The more they do- the more it will cost you. If cryotherapy can be done at home, one can include this regimen as part of their dental hygiene to avoid excess cost associated with dental visits once you finally visit. This does not give you a reason to talk more, I mean come on! It was you that did all of the budget and scrapping and what not with the very little that you earn. Cryotherapy- it just gives you a reason to cry less!

The Immune System and Dendritic Cells

The immune system consists of organs and cells within the human body. The bone marrow produces B cells, granulocytes, immature thymocytes, natural killer cells and red blood cells and platelets. It is the process of hematopoiesis that bone marrow stem cells either become mature cells within the immune system or develop into maturation outside of the immune system. For example immature thymocytes migrate into the thymus and produce mature T cells. The spleen creates a immunologic filter for the body's blood. It consists of B and T cells, macrophages, dendritic cells, natural killer cells and red blood cells. The spleen also destroys old red blood calls and is responsible for producing antibodies. The human body not only contains blood it also contains fluid. The lymph nodes are the body's immunologic filter for the lymph fluid that is produced. They are responsible for draining fluid from tissue in our bodies. This is also where antigens are filtered out. The lymph nodes contain the same type of cells as the spleen.

The cells of the immune system consist of the T lymphocytes that include not only the T cell but a T cell helper called CD4. Both the T cell and helper cell help fight off infection and produce immune responses. Another type of T-cell is called the CD8 cell, which is responsible for killing tumor and viral cells, parasites and also be eliminated by the CD8 cell. NK cells or natural killer cells kill off lymphomas and melanomas. B cells or B lymphocytes are responsible for antibodies that are produced in response to bacteria, viruses and tumors. Granulocytes or polymorphonuclear or PMN leukocytes, which are white blood cells these cells also remove bacteria and parasites from the body. Macrophages are responsible for the regulation of immune responses, they provide antigen/antibody response to B and T cells.

The Dendritic cells originates in the bone marrow. They present to B or T cells for antigen/antibody response and are found in the thymus, spleen and lymph nodes, they are also located in other areas of the body. APC cells or antigen presenting cells are either Macrophage or Dendritic cells. They usually present themselves to either B or T cells this will enable antigens to be produced from either the B or T cells that will ultimately kill off bacteria, viruses, tumors, ect.. This is crucial in that the Macrophage or Dendritic cells are the informant cells that dime to the B or T cells, so that antibodies will know that they have to be produced to eliminate and virus or bacteria. If the body is unable to signal to the B or T cells or any one of their helper or killer cells it will be unable to defend itself against illness.

There is a saying..
What your mother doesn't know won't hurt. To somewhat apply this in context to cells and their much needed informers to let them know when the onslaught of war is present. Mother cells or those cells that produce antibodies in the body's defense need to be aware of illness in the body. If the body lacked the signal or transmission of information from Macrophages or Dendrites then it would be unable to defend itself. Illness could have an onset in a person and then spread rapidly before the body's own defense or that of the nature of medicine would be able to assist the person in getting the medical help needed.

Dendrites and macrophages contain the CCR5 protein which is a G protein-coupled receptor. Harmful viruses bind themselves to this protein and thus affect such antigen/antibody responses when presented to the B, T, CD4, CD8 and killer cells for antibody production to fight off infection. Dendritic cells are present in skin and mucosa. These cells are called Langerhans cells and are also found in the lining of the nose, intestines and lungs. Since the Dendritic cells have external contact with that of the environment it may be possible that the spread of harmful chemicals, air and other toxins could possibly invade such cells causing them to become compromised as antigen/antibody presenting cells.

Supplements from mother nature could possibly help with bone marrow and Dendritic cells when they are in need of restoration due to the environment and other factors affecting one's health. Astragalus, Echinacea, Reishi Mushroom Extract, Tumeric including many others are supplements that can be used for bone marrow disorders and overall health.

When your mother does know and refuses to do absolutely nothing about it is probably the same as when she does know and did something about it. I mean who would you rather be punished by your own mother, some stank of a person who really does not know you very much at all, the neighborhood or the almighty?

Human Luxury

Problem

Physicians have a role to play in our lives as health advisors and body mechanics. This is because doctors obtain the education to justify such knowledge that enables people to consult them for advice legally. When the expertise of a physician is examined it is often recognized that the doctor knows best. A lot of this has been glorified through the years because of those that portray doctors on television. The doctor is always this seemingly loving person who can find the answer for various symptoms, no matter how complicated and distressed the patient appears to be. This is also the same doctor who finds illness in a patient who denies any symptoms, when the patient presents themselves to a physicians office for no real reason.

Older people mostly relied on nature, religion and the evolution of both to provide health harvest. Since medicine was more of a for hire tune up job, people did not visit the doctors because for the most part ailments and their cures resulted from the lack of eating properly and much needed rest along with the correct remedies for bouts of bodily imbalances. This can include vitamins and or herbal supplements. Yes, I suppose it's possible for a person to go through life without any history of hypertension, or high cholesterol, anemia ect., but when you consider elderly people and how they continue to live-it is when you ask yourself are such diagnosis existent but not reported? Most anyone can say, they are doing fine and honestly it could be because they want cheaper insurance premiums and do not want to be subjected to any increase that may arise when ailments are reported. Having an uncle in the business or Uncle Premium could work by claiming all is well and if all is well then theres nothing to fix. On a fixed income it becomes difficult to afford much of an increase to anything because you don't have the extra money to pay. Health workers that assist the elderly or someone in need are generally used for a reason. These reasons may include that no one is available to help the injured or sick post surgery, or hospital visit or that the elderly person does infact have issues that require them to need a person of assistance, otherwise they would not spend the money to request their services. Seems somewhat strange to have the goodlooks of a person strutting around with an elderly one for healthcare purposes if a problem did not exist.

Medicare, Medicaid as well as other insurances have problems with people who abuse the system. The physician is mysteriously paid by someone who he or she has never seen before or additional testing ranging from radiology, nuclear or specialist consult is done based on complaints of the patient or examination by the doctor. Intervention is needed to maintain the integrity of the physician as well as to prevent abuse upon the patient regarding medical claims that could be submitted fraudulently and thus affect other aspects of their life once such information is reported.

Solution

How can this be done?

Patients not so long ago often answered question sheets about their health and provided this to their physician upon seeing them for the first time. Soon, after not following the doctors advice more ailments were to result and that information was of little to no use. People could also create such information as they could a patient file in order to earn more money. In any event both the physician and patient have to be protected. EMR is the new way doctors and hospitals and along with most everyone else is using to document patient visits, exams ect.. Since this information is electronic it can ultimately be shared with anyone having electronic access to such files. It may be time to hold the patient accountable for medical record documentation and notation. Patients talk while the doctor writes. It is important because a physician really does not want to miss anything vital of a patients past, symptom or diagnosis because this can determine the current health or present condition of the patient. What is needed is patient voice recognition integrated into an EMR system.

How does this work?

A patient goes to visit his or her doctor and the physician gets on the computer to input information as the patient speaks. A patient voice recognition tab box will be enabled thus allowing the patient to talk with a mouthpiece. The patient voice recognition software will not only record but transcribe into text the patients words. If the patient cannot talk a representative for the patient can do so or with an external tablet the reason for visit or complaint can be entered. In doing so the reason for the visit and complaint will be documented and electronically signed off by the patient by voice activation or by external tablet. This will ensure accurate patient visits, diagnosis and prevent unwanted charges. The exam portion of the visit may not be recorded but the initial process or reason of visit - why you came to the doctor in the first place will be. This information will be kept as part of the patients file and can be used when insurance companies request medical charts of patients. Such data and information will be able to determine why such charges were billed to the insurance company and validate why additional tests or specialists visits could have been requested by the physician. Often times, since the patient aspect of a visit is not documented as stated by the patient that factor can contribute to insurance companies questioning various visits, exams ect. A physician can go by learned and experienced information upon examination of the patient to determine what else if anything should be done. But, there are time when patients are insistent upon a certain test or a particular visit and the doctor will comply with the wishes of the patient to satisfy an overall coverage of health and well being. Once this occurs the physician will be under scrutiny for referring a patient to someone or for requesting tests that may not be considered necessary. If the patient fears he or she will be charged more then they will say the doctor told them to do this or that and they were just going along with the program without mention of what led to such referral or suggestion of furthur testing. Patient voice recognition will complete the patient chart by supplying necessary information to justify a visit because it will come from the patient themselves. Once patients are documented a reason for subsequent visits, tests ect. thereafter will have validity.

Solution

It would be awfully good for Metro-North in White Plains to clarify the difference between the two stops of White Plains and North White Plains. It is somewhat confusing. I don't want to spend the money to go from North to North. Besides, I have long since retired that little get up I used to wear many years ago. Can't the powers that be just write, say or indicate White Plains near Transcenter and Galleria. This would definitely indicate to an out of towner the difference between White Plains and North White Plains. It does not have to be etched into stone, but a little something would help with this problem.

2013 Rebate and Tax Credit for Health Insurance

Each year our health insurance premiums go up. The increases can be from $300 to $500 or even more depending on what type of health insurance you have. Unfortunately, the supposedly new insurance exchange programs will not take place until 2014, so 2013 will not be the year to take a vacation. It can be ok to stay home as long as you don't move or go anywhere.

In scenario of explanation is that 2013 can be a golden year for hospitals and insurance companies to charge huge fees in excess in preparation, resulting from the insurance exchange programs to begin in 2014. This could mean that people will pay more out of pocket in premiums and out of cost expenses like deductibles or co-insurance ect. Many of us wear the same shirt over and over because we want to keep it. Premiums and other added cost for moving around at home or leaving the house can make it difficult to afford the necessity of wearing a shirt; since wearing the same shirt over and over helps pay for insurance premiums. Talk about priorities. There's really nothing to argue about-what police officer is going to arrest an insurance company resulting from indecent exposure, even if we blame them indirectly?

The end of 2012 will approach and before that it will be time to think in advance regarding one's health insurance. When life is just a compounded representation of timed notations constructed together in provided nomenclature that explains seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years- we realize it's time to get started because time repeats itself as history tells a similar story but it does not wait. 2013 can also be considered a gap year because it falls batween those who currently have existing plans and the possible transition to the insurance exchange plans. In this instance people may be paying more for insurance or they can certainly decide to go without medical insurance and get basic hospital coverage because premiums will become no longer affordable. This also means that health centers and insurance discount plans can become of benefit for one to use until 2014 and can provide some relief by way of the reduced cost of health coverage until the insurance exchanges get underway.

The Affordable Care Act is already requiring insurance companies to report the money that they spend on direct care of a patient as opposed to the money the insurance company spends on the workers and their fancy paydays and what it takes to hype them up so that the public knows about them. If it is found that the insurance company spent less than 80-85 percent of your premium money, which varies on the type of plan ie. individual, small or large company on direct medical care then an insured person will recieve a rebate from the insurance company. Since this act or law will prevent the insurance company from spending subscriber premiums on anything other than health care then it is possible, if insurance companies do lattes and biscotti's quite often on "company money" then subscribers will reap the benefits for such indulgence. There's nothing really to argue about-drinking bad coffee will send people home, and you would certainly have issue with an officer if arrested for going home after drinking bad coffee-what are those charges gonna look like?

This may also be the time to introduce a whole new rebate system called the insurance gap supplement or the insurance gap supplement tax credit. This rebate will reduce the cost of health insurance for the year of 2013.

How this rebate or tax credit works?

If your insurance premiums have gone up, you either pay the cost of the premium or attempt to find cheaper insurance. Although high deductibles are just that-you need to pay the entire deductible before the insurance company pays. So if you can barely pay your premium what makes an insurance company think you can just fork up $1000 or more when you get a bill from a physician, facility or hospital? The rebate will allow you to use the money to reduce the increased cost of coverage by up to $750. This depends on the amount of your insurance you pay each month. If you currently pay $300 a month and your premium is increased to $340, this means that your insurance has increased $480 for the year. With the gap supplement or gap supplement tax rebate you can be entitled to a $350 rebate that can be used by you through your insurance company to offset the cost of your premiums or you can recieve the rebate as a tax credit when you file your taxes. This rebate or tax credit is just the thing people need to continue their health insurance as they wait in anticipation for the new insurance exchanges to provide affordable insurance.

The insurance exchange program has taken long enough, there needs to be a supplement introduced to enable a continuance of medical insurance coverage or more people will continue to go without insurance in the year 2013. This again would mean that hospitals and health centers ect. will lose money by having to care for people without health insurance to pay in return for such services, as this could mean a crisis for hospitals or centers that will then have to close or merge to stay operational. If people need continuous care and do not recieve it then many will become sick, die or result to disability if an illness is severe enough; all resulting from the rising cost of health insurance.

Let's eliminate superstition. If age is just a number, why can't we do the same with 2013? It can be done by the insurance gap supplement rebate and tax credit!

Neutrons

As humans in a complicated world we take many things home. Things like our problems, stuff we have to find the answers to because it was the end of the paid day at work, aches, pains and most of all arguments that spread like colds so we can continue them with someone else. It can be vengeful to consider that once a person is ill they eventually bring that problem to work by either staying out or through inflated insurance costs. That is, if your employer pays more when and if the company you work for exceeds insurance costs; so that if the insurance company pays a lot then your company has a huge increase as a result.

When looking for forms of treatment many people begin with home because it is cheaper, old fashioned and usually somebody else does all the work in attempts to cure an individual. If there are those that are considered "beams" on this planet of ours then it can be understood why people lose their balance and there are times when wishing for something can be difficult because people often remove those important factors in life that are crucial to the wish. In any instance I will resume with this weeks topic.

Neutron therapy involves a process whereby a beam of high dose neutrons is emitted by using a cyclotron to generate high energy neutrons. Once these neutrons are at a speed 50 MeV a probe attached to a gantry is used to transmit the beam into the patient for subsequent cure. Neutron therapy is considered more precise because the beam of neutron can focus primarily on the cancerous tumor or tissue rather than being radiated to other parts of the body. This is because protons are larger than electromagnetic waves or radiation so they can only go to a certain depth once released. Therefore enabling greater control as to how to direct the neutron beam towards the tumor so that it affects it enough to kill it entirely without destroying other parts of the body. An electromagnetic wave is designed to do the same with regards to radiation but since they have no mass or charge the electromagnetic waves can penetrate entirely through body tissue beyond the site of the tumor thus killing off good tissue and cells. Neutron therapy emits beams at a decided upon dose which in turn gradually releases the energy to rid the body of the tumor.

Neutron therapy can be best for cancer conditions that are difficult to operate on or inoperable cancers due to the size or location of the tumor. Of course there are some insurance companies that will not pay for such high tech procedures given the fact that neutrons were only discovered in 1932. Neutrons are considered high linear-energy-tranfer radiation, so they are able to combat cancer in size and in advanced stages. I'm not sure I understand what message insurance companies may want to send but, get well soon may not be much of a priority since Neutron therapy involves less treatment and time than the usual radiation therapy.

Tumors that are unable to be killed by radiation would mean that radiation is not effective in eliminating the cancer a person has. This results in loss of life to cancer unless another approach is used to prolong ones time against the disease. Since cancer is a deadly growth there is a possibility that even with radiation, cancer cells can repair and continue to regenerate. So there are times whereby the effort and procedure is outweighed by the personal risk factors of the individual and the ability to be able to tolerate radiation that also eliminates good body cells along with other procedures like chemotherapy to rid the cancer. Tumors that can be resistant include glandular, bone, cartilage, soft tissue and other large tumors.

Brachytherapy is known as internal radiotherapy. A radiation or radioisotope source such as Cobalt-60, Iodine-125, Caesium-137, Iridium-192 ect. is used. Again, these are radiotherapy radiations that are planted in a persons body either inside the tumor or near it's location in attempts to destroy it. Brachytherapy is given in low, med, high and pulsed doses(2 Gy-h to 12Gy-h) and can treat many forms of cancer. Since Neutrons emit higher doses of energy and can subject a tumor to be destroyed a lot faster or in less time there needs to be more use of neutron brachytherapy in dealing with cancers that are difficult to cure.

Surgeons use stents to open up clogged arteries in efforts to assist those who have either had heart attacks or to prevent persons with artery damage from having one. As with cancer there exists the spread of it, metastasis or secondary cancer that results from the same damage that the tumor has caused. In that if a person has heart disease one or more arteries may be blocked. If a person has cancer a tumor may exist thus causing another tumor or cancer cells to grown in other parts of the body. In elective measures to treat the entire body for cancer without major surgery in instances where there is a likelyhood that the cancer has spread Neutron Brachytherapy as a port and stent placement in the body could be considered by using,Californium-252 a neutron emitting radioisotope.

Procedure:

A stent(s) and port is created and placed into a tumor site or inside the tumor. One or more stents can be placed if one or more tumors exist. The stent is coated with Californium-252. The main stent, if more than one also acts as a port so that once a tumor has been destroyed but there is certainly presence of secondary cancer or metastasized growth to cells has resulted, the port will be used for furthur therapy. Neutron therapy can then be induced by using the neutron beam and directing the probe towards the port, in all efforts to release neutron directly to the cancer. Since the port acts as a guide and transfer mechanism for the neutron to be released into the body, this will enable tumors to have more of a direct contact with the high energy of the neutron in a minimally invasive way. This would be an attempt to eradicate inoperable tumors and to eliminate the cancer that has spread through the body because the neutron therapy as released through the port will eliminate any cancer that exists in the body.

The treatment amounts and times by which one may have to endure therapy may vary from person to person. But is is best to know that when illness spreads there is a state of the art solution to consider thus putting one in a decent state of mind. Unfortunately, sickness has many a passenger as it continues to go on- medicine needs to show them the way!

Calcifications

What are Calcifications?

Calcifications are most notably deposots of calcium that are found in the breast during a mammogram. We may ask why don't calcifications develop elsewhere and not be seen as "something to monitor" or have another follow up screening in a few months? Macrocalcifications are not considered to be dangerous or harmful because they are as a result of inflamation from age ect. Microcalcifications are associated with malignancy, since the cells in the body begin to divide rapidly, thus leaving tiny particles of calcium that surround cancerous tissue.

Pulmonary calcifications are deposits located on the lungs. If one ever had a lung infection for example pneumonia, which resulted in the formation of scar tissue, that tissue is now subjected to calcifications.

Uterine calcifications is calcium that develops on the walls of the uterus. This occurs as the uterus undergoes degenerative changes or if a woman has had surgeries, contraceptive devices ect. The calcium can grow into a fibroid tumor or a cyst.

Brain calcifications occur once calcium develops on the soft tissues of the brain. They may also be found in a tumor inside the head that is known as a meningioma. It is also associated with Fahr's Disease in which abnormal calcium or calcifications are found on the brain. One can suffer from dementia, psychosis, certain types of paralysis and other conditions as a result.

Renal calcifications are solid particles of calcium that are formed in the kidney. These particles are often referred to as kidney stones. Kidney stones can consist of other matter such as uric or amino acid. Kidney stones or calcium deposits usually come out during urination but at times are too large and cannot get through so they may require medication or procedures to reduce the size of the stone in order to remove it.

Most of the calcium in our bodies is absorbed in our bones and teeth. With the myriad of calcifications there are out there one can live with calcifications in one body part or another for a very long time. Yes, we can check calcium (blood) levels to ensure that we do not have too much in our bodies, but how do we keep the incidence of breast cancer relatively low and at curable rates as with other ailments that occur as a result of calcifications?

Well, you can either go around just eating the bitter skin from grapes in abundance when they are in season or you can replenish by using grape extract supplements. Since cancer seems to be caused by a cluster of rapidly dying and dividing cells that can spread and grow among sugar and live amidst calcium; it would seem that if one took extracts of grapes ect. to prevent dying cells as a result of aging, infection and inflamation this would certainly assist with the repair and formation of new cells that will continue the body's process of normal function. As we all "intend" to get old deliberately our bodies just roll with the cause. The environment is quite old itself and is heavily populated with people, toxins and other harmful substances that are the result of worldly invention to create the necessity of transport and machinery in the essence of life and expedient living. If it took several days to do one thing or another we would fail to have a modern civilization or international association. Although nowadays, one may question if that is good or bad. Grape extract may not be of much help with international issues but it can be of value with the internal matters of human beings.

If we see cancer as foreign or associated with outside matters, it may take one longer to obtain result. Sort of like taking several days to get something done, if you decide to do anything at all about the problem. The longer it takes the more the body suffers and is prone to the death caused by cancer. When using a supplement like grape extract in handling issues by internal abide you can regenerate growth of new and healthy cells and in effect balance the body with the harmful cells that are dying.

The body and the roads of life give us a turn to the left and a turn to the right. Perhaps a turn for the worse can be avoided by simply turning things around! Physicians come with their own board of twister. I'm not quite old enough to remember the Waltz. As a person should consult a physician, the turns of life should factor into you decision as to where you should sign...

Frankenstein

Remember the old Frankenstein movies? They usually involved some scientist or doctor that conjured up experiments or remedies to cure a disorder or to regulate the size of something, it was usually a person who was too big or small. or was that Godzilla? Those movies were great because the scientist had a lab that was set up as if it were in the study or basement inside a regular large house. In those days, homes were often large and unaffordable and large houses were not converted into multi-family residences as they do now. Gosh, to make a movie like that now where would they put the lab?

Frankenstein was this huge monster that walked robotically and had what appeared to be a thumbtack sticking out of his neck. In humans of couse that could be a disaster because you could puncture something and inadvertendly die as a result. Although, the thumbtack that stuck out of his neck could be viewed upon as modern day body piercing for that day and time but it didn't really catch on.

Before the thumbtack came along; the human neck created, contains two carotid arteries. They are located on the right and left sides of the neck and provide a majority of the blood, oxygen and other vital nutrients to the top and front of the brain. If one of these arteries are blocked it can lead to atherosclerosis. This condition causes strokes in a person. The plaque buildup is comprised of fibrin, cellular fat or waste, calcium and cholesterol buildup that attaches itself to the artery and hardens it. When this occurs blood and oxygen are no longer able to be sufficiently supplied to the brain, thus the loss of brain function. Did Frankenstein actually have a bulging artery?

Vinpocetine is a supplement (Vinca minor a periwinkle plant). Vinpocetine inhibits an emzyme called PDE1 and reduces intracellular calcium. This is sort of like removing the thumbtack from the neck. Both the emzyme and calcium cause the blood vessels to contract and narrow. Vinpocetine prevents this contraction so that the blood vessels do not become narrow and in doing so blood is enabled to flow through normally while also reducing the clumping or stickiness of the red blood cells and platelets. As a sodium channel blocker, Vinpocetine helps reduce the amount of sodium on brain cells that have already been subject to injury due to a stroke. It also assists with glucose transport throughout the brain. Glucose is used as energy to the brain. Without glucose the brain is impaired. Because the brain needs the right amount of glucose, if a person has diabetes and the body's insulin is not regulated the glucose is unable to distribute itself properly to the brain; since it is insulin that regulates glucose and Vinpocetine helps with that process.

Vinpocetine is a supplement and with most if not all supplements you have to consider how much to take and if to take them at all if you have other conditions and are taking medication for them. The Vinpocetine patch is a great way to get enough of the supplement into your arteries without it possibly causing adverse affects with other medications. A 15mg-30mg patch dose worn on either side of the neck can help prevent severe blockage to either artery. This is especially good for those persons who have been diagnosed with carotid artery blockage and want some form of protection to safeguard their arteries to prevent a stroke from happening or as a remedy if one has already suffered from one; by keeping the arteries clear so that blood can flow normally.

Frankenstein was scary to look at. With the Vinpocetine patch people may question where you are from or your human origins, but at least you will have less fear about carotid artery disease and it's effect on you!

Changing The Guard of Autism

Autism is a disorder that affects many people. Usually diagnosed when a child is unable to talk or interact with others. Autistic people may also not be able to read, write or understand. This disorder is no longer considered rare or almost unheard of as mental retardation was a very common word or term; autism is yet another spectrum among mental disorders. Altering a body physically seems easier than it is to change its process for function mentally. This is because delicate neurons and body tissue all have to be made to be programmable in to another persons brain. To walk or use a device by attachment is cosmetic and depending on what you are replacing if not to the same extent, may not need use from other parts of the brain or body. Unless of course, you have a horrid surgeon or something goes wrong in that your surgery to attach something artificial is unsuccessful. In that instance your body must work together to survive the damage that was done.

Because of research in Autism, studies will one day produce results that will enable those who are unable to talk and undertand to be able to do so. Lab experiments on the brain seem frightening involving lobotomy or by placing many micro ECoG's inside the brain of a patient in order to use brain waves to determine speech. In analyzing autism and its symptoms or behaviors do we find similar patters that mimic other diseases or those that cause regression ie. Alzheimers or possibly forms of Dementia or Parkinson's. It could be indicated that the failure of the brain's function to progress from its infant stages and early childhood can be related in some way to the regression of the brain to childlike instances or to the caring of an adult as though you would an infant with Alzheimers, Dementia or Parkinson's.

When symptoms of mental disorders are examined it becomes crucial to take those traits and examine the brains function in comparison to the many other mental disorders that affect the young and the old. If that process by which the brains activity is stunted or ceases to function as it would in healthy output then what you have is the same disease but different course or stage of development. Huh?

When the brain ceases to function properly in role for memory, attention, awareness, thought, language, motor skills ect., how is that different from when it does it in a person at a very young age or an adult of old age? Hence, the brain is indicative of processes caused by the same regression of function but given another term by indentification because of how how the onset occurs. For example: an elderly person who has lived a full life and was a CFO of a 20,000 person company and who incidentally was fluent in three languages and held a doctorate would not be labeled autistic because of their brain's regression at an older age caused this person to drool, and becaome unable to speak or such speech was delayed as their words were not easy to remember, then tanturms would result in frustration in being unable to communicate. A young child who at the age of five or six would not be seen upon as having Alzheimer's or Parkinsons because they did not have the proper use of motor skills and their speech was slow or non existant and they did not seem to understand the environment around them given the fact that the child had two loving parents and came from a good family. Yet, there are different terms of mental disorders but, with similar symptoms.

If one can respond to a question, but is unable to ask one, this means that the brain is limited to the stimuli that it recieves, because it can only respond to what goes in. However, this means that the brain is having difficulty in producing mental thought associated with creating words and speech for output. Hence, it could be the right part of the brain that has lesions and damage which have caused neurons to die prematurely in a young person or in an older person they die off causing a regression as very small amounts of information only are what the left portion of the brain has to function with. The neural tissue in our brains has about six layers that consists of neurons. We have about 80 to 120 billion nerve cells. If the nerve cells are damaged or have lesions, then they die. When this occurs our brain's capacity for output diminishes. If the brain is lesioned in some way in that it does not produce the normal amount of nerve cells needed for a healthy brain then, it can also be concluded that people with mental disorders have a lack of a neurotramsmitter called Dopamine which is responsible for transmitting information in the brain and cognitive and motor enhancement. Dopamine is made in our bodies and biosynthesized by amino acid and L-tyrosine.

It is certainly possible to test the brain for possible lesions and medicine by now should at least be able to do a neural tissue transplant. They do it after the lobotomy. In doing so, the brain disorder could probably be reversed because healthy neurons will create healthy nerve cells and thus, healthy minds.

To continue in keeping the mind healthy and in supply of Dopamine we need to use our bean. In specific it is called Velvet Bean (mucuna pruriens) or L-Dopa which converts to Dopamine in the body and brain. When the brain consists of such a supplement it will help enable it to function as it should, so the more you eat...
