Ms. Butters: I did it very loud and you should have obeyed.
Pieces: Whats a matter wit you? You can't hear a honking horn?
Mr. Pennant: All I felt was the poking of her fingers.
Pieces: You were that close, Impossible?
Mr. Pennant: We were actually skin tight as she spoke to me in sign language.

ANALYSIS

Jenny Butters and Raul Pennant were dating. Their relationship took an affectionate turn one evening. Ms. Butters who is deaf had asked Mr. Pennant to slow down somewhat. Mr. Pennant argues that he says he felt led on by Ms. Butters and at times she was the aggressive one when he just wanted to talk. After getting mixed signals from Ms. Butters over and over again Mr. Pennant abruptly ended the affair that same evening. During interpretation it was discovered that Jenny Butters has an identical twin named Jules who is normal in hearing. She is an sign language interpreter and uses sign language to communicate with her sister Jenny who is deaf. Mr. Pennant though that Jenny wanted at first to furthur their relationship and spoke clearly on the matter. A few days later he states that Jenny Butters wanted Mr. Pennant to take things slow. It was then that Mr. Pennant decided to end things during their date. Now Jenny Butters wants an apology for the way the relationship ended and a return of the personal belongings Mr.Pennant had of hers.

Pieces: Jenny actually speaks clearly?
Mr. Pennant: When she is in the mood for something!
Pieces: Jules Butters, you do a lot more than interpret for your sister Jenny don't you? How would Jenny respond if she found out all you did with Mr. Pennant?

IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED, Mr. Pennant owes no apology to Jenny Butters. He is to return all of the items that belong to her. And as for Jules Butters, she has some explaining to do.
