CASE COMPLAINT

Josh P. is angered over a date that was broken at the last minute. He states that his companion kept him waiting hungrily and never showed.

Pieces: So why didn't you just eat without her, you were already seated?

Josh:No, I was left standing the whole time!

Pieces: So she stood you up?

Josh: That's correct.

Pieces: Well she just got tired of having to prop you up for your meals, which is why she didn't show.. What i'm really trying to get at young man is the fact that you were hungry at that if you were you should have eaten without her, therefore giving you nothing to complain about!

Josh: Well we had to do the ceremony thing together.

Pieces: You're a waste. You needed her blessingin order to eat? That is silly and ridiculous!

Josh: Well I couldn't do it alone, I would have looked crazy.

Pieces: Listen to me, i don't have time for this. lots of people dine alone. If you are that shy about it then maybe you should consider take out.

Josh: She didn't want to elope either!

Pieces: Elope?

Josh: Yes, my fiance never showed up for our wedding.

Pieces: And you were still hungry? That to me doesn't indicate pain.

Josh: I was embarassed. We had invited several hundred guests, most of whom attended. We waited then I called her because she still had not arrived.

Pieces: Go on.

Josh: I asked her if she was on her way? And she said "On my way where?"

Pieces: So she was in no mood to leave the house, the cold just kept her feet put. Is that what you're telling me?

Josh: Well it was summer, so her feet should have been just fine. I then told her she was supposed to be here a while ago so we can finally marry. That's when she told me she wanted to end the relationship and wedding. She then asked me to apologize to everyone and to tell everyone that they can return the gifts.

Pieces: No crime was committed as she did not attempt to keep gifts that did not belong to her since she no longer decided to marry you. Sher offered an apology for the guests. So what else did you want besides a wedding that she could not offer you?

Josh: I want her to pay her half of the $60,000 for the wedding. She cancelled things so last minute none of the money could be refunded.

Pieces: Did you ask her to do this?

Josh: Yes I did!

Pieces: What did she say?
