CIVIL MATTER

Plaintiff

v.

Defendant

Case Facts

A male co-worker anonymously reports a woman worker regarding a "bad distribution". The complaint was
eventually  given to pieces for review on what to do next.

Pieces: So your co-worker gave you bad cents, why didn't you just take it to a bank for exchange instead of wasting the courts time for such pettiness?

Male: Not cents your honor, scent.

Pieces: You mean, her perfume is kickin your goat?

Male: No, she don't wear that at all.

Pieces: Ok so you work in an enviornment where you won't get an allergic reaction to that kind of smell, please get to the point!

Male: The woman has a body odor to be reckoned with.

Pieces: This complaint is your public outcry to use our court to sanitize and make people smell good?

Male: I am unable to work around her and I have told everybody and I'm here because I want to be moved to a different area.

Pieces: So another words you want a desk like mine away from everybody where you can work without the proximity of people?

Male: That's what I asked for, but then my case ended up here to save time and money.

Pieces: No, your case ended up here because the woman you're referring to stated that she feels bothered by you and wants you to stop your silliness?

Male: Where did you get that from?

Pieces: Her complaint- she is entering the court now.

The woman enters the court room.

Female: I want him to stop bothering me and staring at me he looks crazed.

Pieces: Is this just a bad smell or a bad connection between you two?

Female: A bad connection, were not alike personally or personality wise and we don't have the same interests.

Male: We do have the same interests unfortunately it's not as often as mine and that smell is like your body defending itself from others.

Pieces: Well you gotta admit, the guy realized  it in court you took him all this way. A little BO for the PO.

Male: What you mean by that?

Pieces: You just said it your female co worker defends herself that way-she wants to just do her work. So now you know why she smells that like that.

Male: You gon take that for an answer and let it go knowing the whole workplace feels the same way?

Pieces: This woman says you tend to stare at her and make excuses to go near her desk and say stupid things to get her attention, she wants you to go away from her.

Male: I just be dealin wit co-workers.

Female: Yes, But it's not about work. He's just loud talkin and boisterous most of the time. With work its nothing urgent.

Pieces: So you don't sit next to this woman at work at all?

Female: No he is in another section, I told you he comes by to stare and gloat at me, so I had to defend myself by reporting him. He just talks to the person next to me just to have a reason to come around me that's all.

Pieces: I will return with my answer.

ANALYSIS

A male worker's complaints about another worker's "scent". However, he does not work alongside her during the day. So what is the real reason for his complaint? It may have been that he was approached about  staring at this co-worker and to avoid being terminated he filed a complaint to ward off any actions his boss may enforce against him.

Pieces: Sir, I am talking to you. Are you interested in keeping your job? Answer me or I will hold you in contempt.

Male: Yes.

Pieces: Then you had better behave like it! This woman works in an entirely different area.

IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED, that the female worker return to her job with no action taken against her. Her male co-worker must stay at his desk and away from this female co-worker, which includes approaching other workers next to this woman to get her attention, when not related to work.
