Many people dislike to shop for groceries. They may love to do clothes, traveling, home furnishings and appliances. People dislike to go food shopping because it reminds them of cooking. To some cooking is a chore just as cleaning. In supermarkets there are long lines to contend with and the express or even do- it-yourself checkout has it's limitations. In order to ease the stress of grocery shopping if it is done as a chore it will be completed very quickly. By using the tiny portable food scanner that connects to your cell phone, tablet or other wifi device by usb; shopping, check out and payment can be done faster than cleaning your plate.
For example you may shop at a supermarket called "Foodmart" on a regular basis. So you download the app and sign up. When you go shopping you enter the store and take a basket or shopping cart and scanning device. The scanning device itself will connect to your cell phone, tablet or wifi device by usb. You then select the "Foodmart" app and sign on you must input the scanning device number and the basket or cart number that was given to you by the store in order for you to be able to begin shopping. When you choose each item you want to purchase you scan each item and place them into your basket or cart. The shopping cart has an infrared sensor that can tell if you have items in your cart that have not been scanned by the scanner. It will beep or send a message to you in the "Foodmart" app that you have placed an item in your cart without scanning it. So it can also tell which items have been scanned and which items have not been scanned. If you want to unscan an item just press unscan or delete an item and it is removed from your shopping list. As you go along and finish your shopping you go to the checkout counter to bag your groceries. You are able to do this because once you have finished your shopping all you do is press complete and pay by debit or credit card. When you touch your scanner to the one at the checkout counter and press receipt a list of all the items purchased and a receipt is printed for you. Once you are finished you can return the scanner and after you have removed your groceries you can return the cart.
Sure, problems happen with many things. Something could go wrong with the scanner or shopping cart. If you notice a problem you can press a button at either the beginning,middle or end of a store aisle to get a store clerk's help ie. buying beer or wine. You can also continue your shopping and press complete which saves your grocery list items and go to a checkout stand and pay for your items there. If you go to a checkout stand the person at the register can just select your cart and your items will be selected to ring up on the register, you can do this for example to pay for other goods that you bought and have not scanned with the scanning device since the cart will know what items are in it and the quantity.
The great thing about this app is that you can shop,pay and bag your items in a timely fashion. No more waiting on lines to watch others pay for things and provide information, while you sift through the magazine rack and open food and drink in your cart to munch on while watching them. All you need is your phone,tablet along with the app and you are ready to go. This app can be usefull in other retail outlets or stores that sell goods such as clothing or household items.
