With television and movies there are many many gadgets available. They offer the same thing by either streaming, downloading or playing an actual cd or dvd. The question here is do we really need another gizmo in order to use our tv's in a more enhanced way? Of course we do and that's what I'm writing about. Manufacturers have come out with as many boxes of gadgets for one's personal viewing pleasure in that if we collected them all, one could use them to pack up and move. For any person who had a father who wasn't a glassmaker (what good does that saying do? If someone stands in the way it would be difficult to see through it anyway), this is a way to still see through the glass.

Let's say that a person wants to get the internet on their television but cannot afford the $300 plus price tag.  Most people will probably buy a gizmoed box loaded with apps so that they can buy movies or shows. The problem here is that your choice is limited in that you are unable to look elsewhere for shows, movies and programs you may want to see because that prized app may not available on your gizmo or if it is the fee may not be worth it.  So now you save money by getting rid of cable but you cease to have a replacement for it when watching television.  This is where manufacturers  should allow for creativity to lend itself a bit by allowing consumers to use products in various situations. The product or item bought was not cheap so why should the use of it be limited or cost more than it is worth?

Internet tablets are a great way to access the internet not only from the tablet itself as that is what it is designed for, but they are also great to connect to your HDMI television so that you can access programs and shows via WiFi through HD. When doing this one will no longer need more than two or three devices that all have internet capabilities and portable access just in case you want to take it with you outdoors. You now only need one device for internet, music and video watching. Once the internet tablet is connected to your television you can access all there is from the internet. However, there is only one problem with this. The internet tablet goes into standby mode in that if you do not touch it you will lose what you are watching on the screen.  Glassmaker or not there has to be a way to remove the standby mode so that one can watch their programs or movies without the interruption.

IDEA:

TV's, DVD players and media streaming boxes all have remote controls so that we no longer have to sit upclose classroom style to watch something.  This should be the same option or accessory offered for internet tablets as well. With the use of a universal internet tablet remote control one can simply set up their tablet to their television and then surf the internet and stream shows and movies by using the remote control. In doing so you now have the control to remove stand by and make other adjustments that are necessary.  If one has a internet tablet that was purchased before remote controls were made, then via usb a plug and play remote control infrared sensor can be attached to the internet tablet so that once the remote is turned on one will have full function use of the internet tablet when using the handy universal remote. Now if only a glassmaker would create this!
