Many people keep important information in their blackberry's or computers.  This is because nowaday's people do not go anywhere without these items.  By using the internet we can instantly access whatever we need to in times of importance or crisis.  We often take for granted that wherever we go will have free wifi or a place to charge our mobile accessories to get important information from.  When pay phones were common people used to carry phone books that would contain addresses and numbers of importance in order to contact people.  Mobile devices now have an information section that you can create a portable phonebook out of by entering all of the people you may need to contact.  But what we need to ask ourselves is, If we lose all of that information in a mobile device; do we have a backup eg. a regular handwritten phone book or will our mobile phone provider allow us to download all of our contact information when we log on to our account thus saving it in case we need it emergently?  One's memory can be a bit of a bitch especially if we are in an accident or situation that impairs the thinking.  If you are part alien and were able to phone home, good news. If you are a full alien and phoned home to find no one there, don't be too upset because they probably couldn't help you anyway. Meaning you have to help yourself. Parents in their own best interests may announce to you that they are no longer "on star". Given this important piece of information you now know that there will be no one sitting behind the desk when you call. So you do the next best thing...

Mini Insurance Cards

These little cards should be offered and distributed to any person that has an insurance policy. Lots of people retain business cards to contact business people. So these types of cards should be just as necessary. If you are in a situation away from home and are unable to get there to acces your: home, renters, life, disability, long term care, auto, flood insurance or even for things like annuities, IRA's, bonds. These mini insurance cards come in handy because they are "portable" polices and contain pertinent information you will need to contact any one of your insurance companies at a moments notice in times of need. Humans don't realize that one's head may be a bit screwey to try and remember an eight to twenty digit account number that consists of letters and numbers along with those security questions you need to answer in order to get someone to help you access your account. In any event or situation it is important to have such portable cards that provide policy information such as the: name, addresses and list of phone numbers to contact the insurance company, your account number, policy value, deductible ect., date of effective coverage, type of policy and exactly what is covered. When you have such information handy it can be carried with you at all times. So that in the event of an emergency or a national one, especially if you didn't have time to pack as though you were taking an extended vacation; all of your important information will be with you. Wherever you go at least on earth, you will be able to handle all of the important matters over the phone until you can get to a computer or mobile device to assist you furthur. As your "portable" policy will provide the most important details so that you can get the help you need fast. Now, where can one get a "portable" sized birth certificate?
