We cannot see or view our heart resulting from it being inside our body.  Like most internal organs a sense of urgency arises out of pain or abnormal feeling.  People walk, exercise and eat healthy but that alone may not be enough to ensure a healthy heart.  Heart technology is not a new science. Pacemakers have been around since the late 1950's. Although, one may had to have been very, very, very well off financially to afford one.  When the heart is ailing there are medications and procedures that are used to assist it with regards to irregularity.  There may be instances where medications cause other problems or side effects resulting from frequent use along with the changes a body goes through during the years. Procedures could also have complications or risks.  The notion of using natural substances or something that can be created to work as though it were a part of nature is sometimes not considered because people don't like to be told to "do something the old fashioned way." I have also often cringed at this thought, probably because I just didn't treasure history.  If a procedure or therapy can be developed that could reverse damage done to the heart is it possible that at least for some people pacemakers can be avoided?

IDEA:

Distributing LED or infrared light throught a port inserted inside a person's body.  A port is a device normally used to distribute medication intravenously. A port can be beneficial in this capacity because light therapy can be used to heal and correct tissue and by doing so prevent heart attacks from occuring.  When light is fed through a port this is a type of treatment a person can do at anytime of the day and continue to work along with daily activity without interruption. The port which is waterproof is inserted through the body ie. chest and has target points where light is distributed to reach the heart. The LED or infrared light transmitter attaches to the port and operates with an on off and or "therapy timed switch". This will enable light to be transmitted for as long as you set the timer to.  It will allow light to theraputically flow through the heart evenly in order to heal and repair damaged tissue.  As the light is absorbed in to the heart the healthier it will become. This will ensure proper and sufficient blood flow thus producing an optimal heart rate.  Since the port is waterproof you can shower and bath without worry of it getting wet and even close the port entryway if not in use.  The LED or infrared light device itself is lightweight, durable and easy to maintain and check. You just attach it to the port and set your therapy time and go about your daily routine.  Regarding long term results and use of light therapy you can be given an EKG, echocardiogram, cardiovascular stress or a nuclear test to see how well your heart is doing afterwards. If your heart and its tissue can be repaired and restored anew you have rid yourself of the damage. Elimination of taking many medications for your heart will result which is good, especially if you take medications for other problems you may have.  With the use of a LED or infrared light port device your heart will be given new wings!
